Delivery Information
Bird Breeding Cages offer a range of different shipping services to suit customers looking for a more affordable service or an express premium service. We currently use 3 different couriers services including Royal Mail Tracked 48, DPD and The Pallet Network.
We offer free shipping on any orders over £39. For any orders under this amount a small delivery fee will be charged to cover the cost of shipping the goods securely to your door. Please find our delivery options below:

Royal Mail Deliveries
Royal Mail deliveries can take between 2-3 working days. Deliveries can take place Monday - Saturday. Somebody will need to be home to accept the delivery. Royal Mail will not leave parcels in a safe place for security reasons. However if you visit your tracking information you can request delivery at a neighbours or nearby work place. You can also change delivery days and schedule redelivery of missed parcels by visiting the Royal Mail tracking website and entering your tracking information which will be provided on your dispatch email.
DPD Deliveries
DPD is our premium express courier, that provides a fast express service. Customers who provide an email address with their order will receive a 1 hour time slot on the morning of the delivery. Deliveries are normally the next working day. However they can sometimes take up to 2 working days during busy periods or if there is any adverse weather or roadworks effecting the area.
DPD only deliver and collect Monday to Friday. So if you place an order before 1pm on a Friday. Delivery won't be attempted until Monday. If you place an order after 1pm on a Friday. This will then be dispatched on Monday for delivery on Tuesday.
Please note: we can only deliver to UK Mainland addresses using DPD which exclude the following: Northern Ireland, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands and Islands, Scilly Isles). Although you will be able to check out we will contact you with a notification that we are cancelling the order.
The Pallet Network
We use TPN to ship orders of breeding cages when 3 or more are purchased. You will be contacted by the transport company in order to book in a date of delivery in so please provide your phone number with your order. If you fail to provide your telephone number we will be unable to ship your order until provided. Pallet deliveries do not come with a tracking number and only deliver between Monday-Friday. It is imperitive that when the delivery arrives to check for damages as when you sign for the goods in good condition we will be unable to remedy the situation. If there are signs of damage to the pallet do not accept the delivery under the ground of their being damage to the contents on it.
Important: If your pallet order has been dispatched and neither the delivery company or ourselves are able to reach you on the telephone number or email address provided, the pallet will be returned back to us. This will incur a return delivery surcharge of £100 which will be deducted from your refund once the goods arrive back to us. It is imperitive that you make yourself availble for the delivery company to contact you in order to mutually agree a delivery date in which you must agree to be available all day to take receipt of the goods.
